Trip
All major expenses relating to the trip will be covered in their entirety by "Building an Ecological World". A member of staff will meet you at Mexico City airport and escort you safely to the headquarters of the project, and will be available twenty-four hours a day for further advice and consultation for the entire time you spend with us.

Transport
All transport is included in the total cost - terrestrial transportation from your home to the airport, round transportation air trip from your country to the headquarters of the project that you choose. Any travel expenses from your apartment in Mexico to your project will also be covered.

Accommodation
Lodgings will usually be in shared apartments that are spacious, comfortable and furnished with a fully equipped kitchen. You will be sharing with other volunteers on projects similar to yours but you will have your own room. Single person apartments are available at an extra cost of £125 per month. Household duties will be managed by the volunteers, although local people can be hired for cleaning, etc. The apartments are located near to the beach and to the projects. If local transportation to your project is needed, this will be paid for by "B.A.E.W.". In other cases, volunteers can be housed with a Mexican family.

Food
Food expenses are also included in the total cost. Mexico is celebrated for is wide variety of exquisite cuisine, and volunteers will be able to experience the exotic fruits, vegetables, meat and fish that Mexico has to offer, from world-renowned fajitas to the famous mole poblano, a rich sauce with many different ingredients including chocolate. A wide variety of foods will be available to suit every volunteer's tastes through agreements that we have with restaurants, family houses and palapas (rustic beach restaurants).

The Language
In Mexico the official language is Spanish but in places near to the coast big part of the population speak English, anyway a Spanish course is included in the total cost, and it consist in 30 hours of Spanish lessons. The course is run by certificated native bilingual teachers so you can feel comfortable of asking about all questions about idioms and costumes in Mexico. The language training is taken one week before you start your projects or direct in your own place.

Cost
The cost of the trip includes: transportation from your home to the nearest international airport, air transportation from your country to Mexico, terrestrial transportation to the headquarters of the project, generous medical insurance, lodging and food money during your time at the project.

There is also a series of recreational and cultural activities planned, including journeys around the gorgeous and enigmatic sights of Puerto Vallarta and the state of Nayarit. The participation costs for 2004 are £2870 for three months, tax free.
If you would like to stay longer, the cost is £380 per month. Confirmation of participation should be made at least a month beforehand.

Official Certification
Each volunteer will be given a participation diploma in his or her project from the Mexican Government that verifies your work in Mexico.
However, no official certification can ever surpass the amazing experience that the voluntary work will give - it can make a difference to life, outlook and personality, encouraging growth as a person committed to the development of humanity, directing an integral improvement to the world we live in.

Contact during the Project
During the whole project the volunteers will be in contact with our staff, in case parents and friends need to contact them at any time. In the unlikely event of an emergency, please remember that all the volunteers have full medical insurance during the whole trip. This does not however mean that the volunteers are monitored twenty-four hours a day - freedom is a great part of the experience. In the towns volunteers will be able to be in contact with their homes by means of Internet, which is available at low cost at the many cyber-cafés near the apartments.
