To work in conjunction with the force of the beautiful Pacific Ocean is an incredible experience.

In this unique project, volunteers will learn about the huge variety of fish that live in the Bay of Banderas which forms part of Mexico's west coast and which are good for human consumption.

You will also become adept at various fishing methods, from on foot from the beach, and with nets and harpoons, up to the fishing for marlin in the open sea.

Volunteers will also help wash the boats, take out the fish and flake them, make fishing nets, all the time cohabiting with the fishermen in "fishing cooperatives" which exist in the small villages dotted around the beautiful beach and rock coastline of the states of Nayarit and Jalisco.
