This project is directly related with the beach cleaning project. Many of the poorer people on the Pacific seaboard of Mexico around Puerto Vallarta have only a rudimentary education, and their education in environmental topics is non-existent. This leads to huge amounts of pollution simply because the people do not know to do things any differently. Volunteers will teach about recycling, separating organic, inorganic and mineral, as well as attending courses on environmental education given by qualified professionals, thus combining theory with practice. Volunteers too can learn, about the impact of recycling and other ways of protecting the environment and contributing to a better world. |
