Our organization is formed of a group of professionals with an interest in social and community development. We have realized throughout our careers the importance of voluntary work, sharing ideas and working to benefit the less fortunate than ourselves.

Javier Sierra has been a part of the Indigenous National Institute since 1986, working with native groups from several parts of the country, helping develop and lending assistance to various communities. He is the author of several publications on indigenous peoples, including the Notebook of Indigenous Demography of the States of Guanajuato, Michoacán, Mexico and Querétaro. He has also collaborated in the private sector with the Foundation for Sustainable Development for six years, which has headquarters in Switzerland and whose main objective is to promote the preservation of the environment.

He has been invited to collaborate with the Mexican government in designing and implementing Programs of Social Development that aim to improve the living conditions of the poorer people of Mexico.

Since 1997, Alejandro Sierra has worked as a professor of primary, secondary, high school and university education.

He has worked with the National Institute of Statistical Geography and Computer Science and has participated for over ten years with volunteers from all over the world, encouraging their integration into Mexican society and introducing them to the country's customs and traditions. He has intimate knowledge of the needs of Mexican communities, having traveled extensively through Mexico and South America, participating in a wide variety of social and ecological voluntary projects.

Volunteers will participate with the bilingual teachers in order to become integrated into their projects and the society and customs of Mexico.

Javier and Alejandro Sierra are the founders of "Building an Ecological World" which has objectives of assisting the less fortunate communities in Mexico and aiding in the conservation and preservation of all animal species of the world. BAEW has a large group of associates across Mexico that can share their knowledge and experience in the development of projects in which volunteers participate, such as sociologists, anthropologists, civil engineers, biologists, professors, agricultural developers and veterinary doctors to name a few.

The association can give free consultation to people wishing to participate in voluntary work and if possible, integrate them into a project involved with BAEW.
